Order processing times
As described on our postage information page, we try to send everything from our offices within three working days, although usually we are even faster. However, you must be prepared for the possibility that exceptional circumstances can delay the dispatch of your order and that it may take as long as 28 days.
That said, we REALLY try not to be anything like that slow. Seriously. And if your order is going to be at all late in dispatch we will contact you to let you know and won't be offended if you then tell us to get lost and cancel your order. We won't even remind you that we have to put food in little Monster's mouth.
Postage costs
Postage is calculated based either on the number of items you order and/or the weight of the package you have ordered. You may be given the choice of more than one postage method and you can decide which best suits you. The postage price our site quotes includes all the packaging too.
Statutory rights
If for any reason you are unhappy with your purchase, you can return it to us in its original condition within 28 days of the date you received it, unopened and with the packaging intact. We will issue a full refund for the price you paid for the item. Postage is at your own expense unless the goods are faulty. Unfortunately, we can only offer refunds on opened items if they are faulty or if we have made a mistake and sent you the wrong thing (but if we do this, please don't open it!).
Cancelling orders
If for some reason you decide you don't want the items you ordered after all, and we have not yet sent you an email saying they have been dispatched, you can contact us and we will stop the order and refund your payment or return your cheque. Again, we will try not to remind you that we have a big tomcat to feed.
Returns policy
We try to take every care with our deliveries and so are happy for you to return items if they are faulty or are not what you ordered (and we'll refund your postage too, mea culpa, mea culpa). Our address for returns is here. We recommend that you use a recorded delivery service as we cannot consider returns that we don't receive.
Product descriptions and photographs
We take care to make our product descriptions as accurate and useful as possible. Nevertheless, website users acknowledge that it is possible such descriptions may contain errors. If an item is purchased and is not what the customer intended to buy as a result of a non-trivial error of description on our part, we will offer to replace or refund the item if the error is brought to our attention. Website users acknowledge that owing to limitations of photographic equipment and the process of sending graphics on the Internet, as well as variations between computer hardware and monitors, the appearance of items in photographs on this website is for guidance only.
Privacy and protection
We take your privacy very seriously, as explained in our privacy notice. However, if you use this website it is your responsibility to protect your account details and password and to prevent other people accessing your account - we can't be there to make sure nobody goes on your computer if you forget to log out! If you think someone has learnt your password or otherwise got access to your account then let us know.
Particularly tedious stuff
This is our website and we can do what we like with it, so there!
(Well, okay, that's a bit confrontational, but we do reserve the right to restrict or refuse access to our website; terminate accounts; amend, remove or edit content; and cancel orders at our discretion. If we cancel an order, you of course will not be charged for it. You may not download or retain (except in your web browser's cache) or distribute any of our photographs or other website content. Nor may you attempt to access our server or otherwise seek to disrupt the running of the website. You must not commit any fraudulent acts or provide any false information when using this site (not that you should do it at any other time). We may use exerpts of your written correspondence in our testimonials section and in writing to us you consent to our doing this. Any import duties or taxes incurred on international orders are the responsibility of the person who placed the order and not JollyAndUseful.co.uk)
Good English Promise
JollyAndUseful.co.uk likes to maintain high standards of written English on our website: it's our corner of the web and we want to keep it tidy. As such, you won't find any "offer's" or "bargain's" here, nor will you find semicolons living in inhuman conditions. If you spot anything on the site that we have overlooked, please contact us and we'll look into the matter.
